Once your application is submitted to the Vital Statistics Branch, we'll let you know. Processing times are set by the government. For status updates after submission, contact the VSB directly at 204-945-3701.
If your application is rejected or requires additional information, we'll explain what happened and help you resubmit at no extra charge.

The price includes both our service fee and the government fee ($30 for regular processing, $65 for rush). There are no hidden charges.
Processing times are set by the Vital Statistics Branch. Regular processing times vary โ check the VSB website for current timelines. Rush processing is completed within 3 business days (shipping time is additional).
No refunds are provided once your application has been submitted to the Vital Statistics Branch. This is consistent with VSB's own policy. However, if your application is rejected, we will help you understand why and attempt to resubmit at no additional charge.
The Vital Statistics Branch requires a written (non-digital) signature to authorize a representative to act on your behalf. We need a photo or scan of your handwritten signature on our authorization letter.
No. We only process applications for births, marriages, and deaths that occurred in Manitoba. If your event occurred in another province, you'll need to contact that province's vital statistics office.
